Could you provide some additional details on your machine, CPU, OS, SoundCard, etc it may help resolve your problems.

I have seen cascading errors before but it was one plug-in which actually failed and the rest were bogus reports. The trick is finding the trigger.

    Hay,
I have not installed on my main system yet until I know if this is a random thing.
    Toshiba laptop, 4 gigs ram, i3 3110m 2.40Hz. win 8.1 internal soundcard.
I was thinking that maybe its the 32 bit versions creating the error or some stupid thing I may have touched. I selected enable plugins to all, and everything seems to test out ok. but get the errors every time I scan.

I think I will start install on my main system now and see if it's just the laptop.

    No, I'm not fog.

    thanks for the help.

Is your system 32 bit or 64 bit?

Why are you installing 32 bit stuff? Unless of course it is third party stuff and only available in 32 bit.

yes, but the 32 bit stuff that is working fine was not giving errors at VST install. I still have Sonar 8 and X3 on my system because a lot of old Cakewalk plugins that I like don't even show up in S-Plat. Other reasons as well. another problem could be that even though I have 3 versions of Cakewalk DAWs on my computer they all seen to be tied together in the VST area.

edit: only got one VST error on my main system upgrading to Foxboro and it only took about 10 hours to upgrade with DSL.

They share a directory within the Programs\Cakewalk sub directory unless you are installing in a different location.

Does the scan run OK with 8 and X3?

Are you getting the errors while running 32 bit SONAR or 64 Bit?
Please list the VSTscan paths you have for the version that generates the errors.
If you a running the 32 bit version you shouldn't include scan paths to 64 bit plugins..
