    John,

Very good song,   I like it all except for the drums which sound a bit "Band-in-A Boxy" to my ears.   Very catchy tune and the mix is really good.    I could hear either a Cure vibe on the drums or alternatively a Allman Brothers band country-rock beat....  Nice one though.

Nice happy tune Wookiee, thanks for pointing that out.

Thanks Andy, as you probably worked out the title bares no real resemblance to what I am playing, but G to Bb just did not roll so I called it B to F with no other reason than I liked it.

Thank you Phil glad you enjoyed my little tune.

    Hey Wookiee,

Cool jam, sounds like you had fun with this. I like that subtle bell sound(or a piano maybe) that comes in to double the guitar, nice touch.

My thanks Amine for having a listen and taking the time to comment, the bell sound is probably the Arturia Wurlitzer V that is sort of bobbing along gently in the back ground.

Andy thinking about it, it may well have been an outside influence as to where the title came from.  The working title was really dull 20150515, but I did sit and watch Peter Gabriel's Back to Front video whilst I was working on this perhaps who knows.

Thanks to all whom have listened.

Very cool Wookie - love the guitar tone. As Mark says above, it does have a hint of The Cure - which is fine by me.

I like it. It's not like your other stuff at all. Now that someone mentioned The Cure, I could hear them doing a song like this. It does sound a lot like some of their songs. Great job. Did you play the guitar or is it a sample?

Thank for having a listen Clint, yes a little different.  That is me playing Guinevere my lovely Telecaster custom hand made Spacey guitar, I also am playing an Ibanez S series as well.  Both through Guitar Rig 5.

I thought it was well mixed, had a very happy emotive quality to it, and did indeed remind me of The Cure writing some mellow surfing guitar jam. I'm grabbing my longboard now!

This is a nice, upbeat song that differs from others in your repertoire.  The drums aren't really over quantized, but all the notes seem to be at the same volume rather than randomized.  If you could give the downbeat an accent and make a few of the notes softer, so they sound like ghost notes, it would have a more natural feel.  Otherwise, I have nothing to offer this happy song.

    All the best,

it's a nice idea of a tune, wookie...
but it would be much stronger,
if you spent some more time finding more interesting drum fills..... more 'swing' if you will,
to break up the 'sameness' of each section....

also, the melody on the guitar is great....
but i don't want to hear it over and over, all the same...

it should change up, somehow, every time.
i want the 2nd verse to be all 3rds.....

then the 3rd verse to be all 5ths....

and then a section that is all harmony, but deconstructed...

    etc, etc...
i think you should massage this one some more, cuz it's worth it.

Thanks for lending this your ears Tom, enjoy your long board

I hear you Lynn, surprisingly there are quite a few bits of hit randomisation in this but it does not come across so well, I hear a big difference between the wave and the MP3.  Thanks for spending some time with it.

Bat so kind, yeah I know spend some time with it I should and perhaps I will, been busy though with other things. Other peeps tunes blah blah blah. This was originally intended to have some lyrics but my lyricist said he could not come up with anything.

When I find some time I will revisit.

I do have some Cure in my collection, but this doesn't sound like it.  Too happy. ;)

I think this one is great as-is, but if you want me to nitpick about the rhythm I'd have to say the biggest problem with the drums is... the lead guitar.  To my ears, it seems like many of your guitar notes are anticipating the beat slightly.  I bet if you quantized your guitar transients suddenly your drums would sound perfect.  Just a thought!

In any case, this is a refreshing ditty in your repertoire.  Fun stuff. :)  Nice work John!

Good to hear one from you, Wookiee. It's a nice, happy little song that is very pleasant to the ears. I do feel like the drums sound a little "drum machiney", and that the lead melody could be broken up a little to sound less predictable. But I thought the mix sounded good, and Spacey definitely built you a nice sounding guitar! Thanks for sharing!

    Fobbing to Basildon?
as others have said, it's a great little tune, i agree with BB could do with some change in key or voicing. the drums are very 80s and need some work, but given you normally work with your analogue synths this is a great effort in a different genre.
