Using keyboard for a split

If you want to use your keyboard for splitting a track, isn't it "Ctrl" held down and the "S"? It's not working now for me and I am not sure if its my program or if I am not hitting the right buttons. Has anyone else had it stop working or is there a way to switch int back?
Many holiday thanks,

James

Ctrl-S is the stand split tool what are you trying to split Midi or Audio?

Audio. Have not really done anything different for years. It might be my keyboard is bad.

I thought that "S" was default for splitting clips... I do it all the time, but cannot remember adding Ctrl before doing it. (I have a very bad memory...)

This is why it needs to be mandatory that I use Sonar every day and not go 4 months without recording. Mike V. is correct as well, they need more than one "best answer" option.
