Bakers... from the posts above it seems to me that this would be a great sticky titled hiding and unhiding products. You might rewrite it and add how to hide, which I am sure is a no brainer to most people but I would add it and where to find the XML files. Unless you can write a small program that will do this procedure and unhide with a button or something in CCC. That would be ideal! (I took the liberty of changing the word programme to program), Maybe this should be a feature request. From Kamikaze: Anyone trying this, you have to have Show hidden folders shown in you windows option. This is a fairly new laptop and I hadn't got round to setting that yet. There seems to be an XML file for each Program in Command Centre AD2 Sonar D-Pro Rapture Melodyne Looking through the States of the various files there are the following options. HiddenNotInstalled HiddenInstalled Installed NotDownloaded So in typing this I've actually answered the question I was going to ask. You simply remove the word 'Hidden', not the whole entry for the State so 'HiddenNotInstalled' would become 'NotInstalled'.

I added that t the CCC 1.1 thread, maybe they will write some code and add a button or two or at least write a sticky or maybe with 1.1 it wont be an issue anymore. Kudos to Lance and Kamikaze! Julien

Good deal man. I was glad to find it for sure. Yep, I haven't been here in a long time but I am the same ole Lance haha. I love helping out and I have a problem of not being able to let go when there is something to solve. It makes total sense that one could go into the code and find a simple command to unhide stuff but I don't do code. When told where it is and what to remove, I have no issues with that haha. Now the fact that the stuff turns red when it is already installed is absolutely unacceptable and looks completely amateur. Period. Those are NOt harsh words. Those are truth. It looks "Jimmy Rigged". Same with the platinum prochannel pack jsts having an error right when I hit install, getting no where, not even into the install process. Furthermore with hiding stuff and then having to *****n change commands (iuf you are knowledgeable enough to know you have to right click and open the document with something like notepad) to see your product again. Not acceptable. I'm a well established tech head, years of experience/troubleshooting from DAW computers to servers for hospitals, not a novice trying to figure out how to upgrade the processor in a laptop by banging on it like a monkey and buying a hard drive thinking its a zip drive. Fix it. No please. No thank you's. Make it right Cakewalk. I have years with you guys and I love the Bakers and SONAR but this **** is getting old. I can run Ableton Live and have next to no issues for years now but I like SONAR better for obvious reasons even though my peers around me all use Ableton Live or Pro Tools like DJ Poet, Steve Duda, Wil.i.am, etc. and they see how sick my rig is when they work with me on projects but their ish doesn't have the bugs that SONAR does and the awkward problems all the time, subtle things but just really annoying. -I dont want to leave SONAR. I want you to fix SONAR so I can stay because I love the program. PLEEEEEEASE Cheers, Lance

I can understand your frustration, but in my short time here, I have found that most problems encountered are things that can't be foreseen. Since many of us have had no issues with the upgrades, it would seem to me it's your system that is different. In what way, I cannot say. But software as intricately timed as a DAW needs a good solid platform. As a stupid young man, I towed a 1963 Chevy pickup from SDAK to CA with a VW Rabbit.... It got the job done(we survived!) but I certainly wasn't gonna go complain to VW about it's lack of towing power, or electronic brake. Yes, I know the truck weighed more than the VW. It was only a problem going down hill, and the side wind in Wyoming......

This is because the CCC doesn't know about stuff it didn't install. The reason for the long Foxboro update where you basically need to download everything is for compatibility with the next CCC, which supposedly will be aware of previously installed elements. As to stability issues, something as simple as overclocking or an outdated graphics driver can wreak havoc...not saying that's the issue, but overall, SONAR has been extremely stable for me since Platinum hit. But it required some work on the rest of my system to get there. As just one example, I was shocked how much matters improved when I removed the HD Audio codec my graphics card driver package installed. Once that was gone, it was like I had a different computer.

Those audio things have a nasty habit of popping up again, but maybe that is due to having 2 new WIN 10 updates in the last few days....I told it to update other than MS stuff as well so it had files for my audio both Realtek and HDMI, but couldn't install them as they were disabled. So my WIn 10 update showed failed. So when 158 was ready, I unchecked the box, and the update installed, but added those dang drivers. 159 came along so quick I didn't change it back so they got installed AGAIN. I now have them disabled AND uninstalled. I also put a note inside so the electrons will know what to do.

I am not seeing the Strum Session 2 anywhere. I am on Sonar Professional. It is listed as included with Professional on the update notes. Someone else mentioned they were missing it but they needed to install the Platinum Instrument Collection to get it. Obviously this is for Platinum subscribers. Is it definitely included with Professional?

Will I miss out on anything, any freebies or anything by skipping a release or will everything be added in when I get around to the latest. Addictive Drums wont install. Everything else has worked fine but when I go to XLN, download the zip file, extract all, double click 64bit to install I get a popup window that says the page cannot be opened or whatever the regular navigation failure page in windows says. I've tried saving it, I've tried just running it, I've tried as Administrator, I've tried just running it. I've disabled malware protection in Malwarebytes, and added an exclusion in MAlwarebytes, I've disables popup blocker. Still I get navigation to this website was cancelled. Any ideas why? J

I logged in to XLN Audio but still cannot get to the install page. OH well, I'll get in touch with them next week and get it done. Well DANG... I spent 30 minutes trying to update because CCC said there was an update then finally gave up, went back to CCC and the light is now green. I guess this was the fix before the CCC fix. IDK.. Anyway, no problem I guess. J

Hi Craig Each time I remove my graphic's card HD Audio Device, it reinstalls it upon restarting my computer. I usually end up just disabling it per session. Plt has been pretty stable of recent, so with/without, I not seeing much of an advantage but I have wanted to at least disable it to ensure the best system environment when using Sonar. How did you get rid of it and stop it from re-installing upon each restart? Thanks

After each reboot, it always seems to get re-enabled automatically. I disable the HD Audio Controller after which it disappears from the Sound, Video and game Controllers section in System.

If you don't notice a difference, don't worry about it. Like upsampling, sometimes it makes a big difference, sometimes not...you may need to go into msconfig and tell Windows not to do something upon starting.

If you just disable it, it won't disappear. If it disappears, you have uninstalled it.. Trust me, I just jumped through those hoops. In my case, the Win 10 preview seems to want access to those drivers, but I think that will go away at the end of the month..... oh and they cause havoc because this is a multi-use PC.
