Hi,
I'm not an expert but ,considering what I heard,it sounds as if you were making a living whith your guitar.
One likes or one doesn't like but it sounds full and under control.
Great playing.
Olivier.

Talk about some tasty melodic (i.e. Joe "Satch") playing there Mark!! Nice to see you again......great stuff going on in this tune (love the harmonies). You really need to be posting more songs regularly over here.......how's your back doing (IIRC, you had some surgery a while back no)??

Vilovilo: Thanks for the comments.  I've never been able to make a living with my guitar.

Basradaem:  Thanks for listening and the comments.

synkrotron:  I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Mesh: Good to see you.  Thanks for the comments.  Back surgery went well, but now I have herniated disks in the neck.  I had to quit my band - too painful to gig and rehearse all the time. That's why I have time to record again.

Wookiee:  Good to see you.  Thanks for the comments.

Lynn:  Thanks for the comments.  Glad you like it.

Hey Mark,
Nice to hear your tunes again.  I could have pegged this one as you without being told, it has your signature all over it....that is a good thing.  Fun tune, I really like the double tracked (and even triple it sounded like at one point) melody lines.  They worked good against the explosive solo.  Nice tones as usual.  Congrats on your CD.  I haven't been a big participant here in recent years myself unfortunately and did not know you had a CD available.

Joe Satriani is posting under another alias. Should be illegal. This is an outrage.

As in, outrageously good.

Mixwise, 99% of what I hear is loud lead guitar (which is awesome), nicely mixed drums, and a bass that could be a little more defined and just a smidge less muddy around 150hz. Do you have some other track involved? I can sense a little something spread wide, maybe acoustic guitar? It's so faint it's just suggested, I can barely hear anything except the big three mentioned above.

Works for me!

cheers,
-Tom

Tony:  Good to see you again my friend.  It's a 4 part harmony.  The 2nd verse being one octave above the 1st.

the Galtieri Brothers:  Thank you.

smallstonefan:  thanks I'm glad you liked it.

emeraldsoul:  Thanks Tom:  I'll try the 150 boost.  Bass is always hard for me to mix.  You're hearing left - chugging rhythm and right - arpeggio rhythm.  I tried making it louder but then it was too loud in the headphones.

philz:  Great to see you again my friend.  I've been playing live the last 4 or 5 years I've been gone.  If anythng my playing has gotten much sharper.

clintmartin:  Thanks>  I appreciate the comments.

pavlo0001:  Thanks man, I'm glad you liked it.

great stuff Mark
seems like i've been away similarly to you. my vacation was more due to kids than playing live though, unfortunately!
some cool shredding on this. and the main melody is memorable. i think the drums are letting you down a bit tbh, on a simple track like this need a big drum and big bass sound. but the playing is pretty stunning  like how you have kept it real and not edited out the (small) flubbs.

Nice playing as always! I especially like the way you play two tracks and pan themj. You play so close it almost sounds like one unified instrument. Makes me want a PRS:)

Hey, Mark,

How are you, buddy, it's really great to see you back around on the forum!

This is one dynamite instrumental with some really great tones, tasty solos and a nice punchy guitar rock mix.  That PRS really smokes on this one, and it's super to hear your killer playing again!

Excellent stuff, Mark, have a good one!
