If you already have your libraries why is everyone so concerned about the download deadline?

It's mostly to make sure you got it backed up in a secondary (possibly tertiary) locations (in case your HD fails)......after tomorrow, they won't be available for download.

It was going to take six hours to update! That's slow. I couldn't be bothered. When it comes to reinstalling, if I have any bother I'll kidnap a camel until it's sorted. I will. Don't test me. I'll do it.

I always backup files after purchasing anything & my samples drive is backed up as well.
I would suggest looking over the site one last time in case there's anything one might've accidentally missed. ( such as updates, presets)
I would strongly suggest that everyone make a copy of the install instructions.

Don't forget to also download the mobile versions of your libraries, if you use Alchemy's iPad app. Just hit the "+"-sign in front of each library you own. Also, you may want to download the FAQs.

Jeff, the "Offline Download" instructions section had a specific note about this on their website.....here's the note:

Note: If you have any old copies of 'Alchemy-All-Presets.CamelSounds', remove this file from the desktop or the download path – this file has been known to occasionally conflict with the installer and is not required since the new installer uses a separate presets file for each library.

@Arachnaut: Thanks for the link to Simon's site.....that'll be my next shopping ground. :))

I hooked up via a cable and the speed shot up from 200 to 2500. Phew! All done. Now I'll forget to back up, the system will crash and then ironically I'll have the hump.

A quick Q...
I used the Camel installer and do see all my Camel stuff (about 15 GB's) in my samples drive (internal HD)......do I just Copy & Paste it all to an external drive (in case my internal HD crashes)?

Yep - thanks, Mesh, that had to be it.
Kind of odd, since it was the add-on "samples" file that had the problems and I didn't think that would reference the "All-Presets" file that I downloaded a few minutes earlier.
I don't have Alch or old files installed on this laptop, just the fresh downloads.

Anyway, I grabbed them just to be sure I have them

Just checked to see if I can login to my Camel Audio account and YES, you still can (in case you still need to get something).
They'll probably keep it up until the servers get shut down and pack their coffee mugs/pencils on their way out the door.

I am glad CamelAudio hung in there a little past their stated deadline.
I was looking at all the people yesterday who waited till the very last second to download and realized that all my CamelAudio downloads & backups were on my external drive that fried 2 weeks ago.
As it was the installer quit before it downloaded my last 4 sound sets but I was able to download them directly from the web site.

Bye CamelAudio
