My PC76 u isn't working??? [Solved}
Hi all, I hate my 1st post here to be about a problem but for some reason I cant get the PC76 in Prochannel to work. I turn on the power button and its as if the audio doesnt get routed through the plugin at all. (Weird) If anyone has any ideas, I'd appreciate it! Thanks

Welcome to Sonar. That's what usually brings folks here for the first times. That's why the forum exists.
Are you aware that not only the plugin has a power on but the ProChannel overall also has a power on. Could that be it? It gets a lot of folks.

OK well that eliminates that. More thinking to be done.
Could it be that the input signal into PC76u is very low, or some other setting that means the signal leaving the compressor hasn't changed much.

Did you update from a previous version? It helps to do a plug-in reset and rescan so they're all recognized properly.

Thanks Craig! Yes I did so I tried the Plugin reset but still no action from the PC76 Also I noticed when I right click to see the available plugins for the Prochannel there were only 8 available. I thought with Platinum there should be 11? I think I might format my drive and reinstall Win7 64Bit and reinstall Sonar. Good Idea?

Hi. Did you use CCC to install SONAR? Could it be an update of the PC76 that was not installed? Best of luck. Ps. I would take Craig's answer over my own any day, so I am hoping that I am not leading you astray.

Thanks, I tried the reset plugins and did a new scan. That didn't work. I'm starting from scratch now. New Windows install and then JUST SONAR PLATINUM! Once that is up and running by itself I can put it through its paces and make sure its working fine before I introduce any other plugins, like all my UAD and Waves plugs. Thanks All, I'll keep you posted!

If that doesn't fix it, can you post a screenshot of your prochannel?

It really shouldn't be necessary to start over. Have you called support? They can probably sort it out for you. That said, a clean Windows install can fix a lot of weird issues...

Thanks Craig I agree a clean install is the best I wasn't really using the old mess I has anyway so I decided to start fresh I'll let you know how I make out I usually use a Mac with Pro Tools But hate its Midi capabilities I think on this Windows partition I will try running Sonar Platinum only for a while and see how it goes I mean with all it has, if I can't get the Job done I suck right?
