    Yeah, Larger Interface!
t'was ridiculously small on my Hi Res, 15.5" laptop.

Now they just need to improve the midi controller function.

I would have liked a little bigger, preferably scalable, but on my screen it now measure 16.5 cm, which makes it workable with a mouse. If I set  windows display to 'larger' it seems to respond much better to touch.

I've just installed this update... Nice to have a slightly lager window, for sure. Keyboard entry of parameter values is nice too.

Can anyone think of a workaround or alternative approach to this set up.

I use breath controller. I'd like to assign it to modulator and set it's range, like in FabFilter Twin or Rapture Pro. At the moment if I want to control the filter, I have to assign it directly to it, and set the max and minimum range. Problem is, if I want to turn the filter down a little, I can't, it's now assigned breath controller, so I have to reset the minimum and maximum range. If I try to assign a second controller to it, so I can use that to turn down the range, it looses the breath controller settings.

I've always found the modulation routings a bit basic in VA, I'd much rather a mod matrix running as part of a preset, than the global midi learn that affects all presets in the same way.

I'm pretty happy about the GUI size change though, it does give this synth a chance of surviving in my set up.

I recently replaced by DAW monitor with a 27 Inch 2560x1440. This update seems to make the interface similar in size to the previous interface on my old 24 Inch 1920x1080. I did not have an issue with the old interface size but the increase is justified, it was a bit on the small size.

I highly recommend a 2560x1440 monitor now the prices have dropped. While it does not give quite as much extra screen real estate as 2 1920x1080s it gives more high which is very valuable. If it wasn't for the cost I would have liked a Asus PQ321 31.5 inch 3140x2160.

Great to see this. How it hasn't been an automatic feature 10 years ago I still don't understand. I'm not talking just about AAS. SampleTank3 came out less than a year ago and it didn't have it. It does now though.

Messing with it today, I agree, the directional arrows really helps move through things. I also saw a benefit in a global midi learn, in that you can move through the programs and still have controllers move the same thing. It doesn't really work for breath control, which is my main controller, because it need more tuning, but for controll knobs I can see it working.

I'm in Chromophone now and can see the keyboard arrows are not implimented here. Hopefully this will appear on all the other AAS stuff soon, an that VA was tackled first because of demands for a bigger GUI, so dealt with other issues at the same time.

Glad to see the cogs are still turning with AAS, outside their strum world.

I would be calling for a TASSMAN overhaul, but that things scares the **** out me.

Haha! Yeah, let's leave TASSMAN where it is eh? I mean, this is a great synth for "meddlers" but I just don't have the time for that thing... I don't even bother loading an instance of this any more...

Really pleased. Also love Lounge Lizard, String Studio and the new acoustic 'n' electric Strum. Chromaphone too, but that one needs an update.

Apart from scrolling with keyboard keys, why do you say that Chromophone needs and update. What do you find lacking?

I haven't installed Tassman, nor the strums. I know I'm not going to use Tassmann and I'd prefer to invest time getting comfortable with my real guitars than with Strum. Despite having 2 guitars, I'm not a Guitar heavy music person.

Lounge Lizard, Chromophone, VA and String in that order I my preferences from AAS.

If they had a goofy low upgrade price on Lounge Lizard I would go for it, but the SONAR version sounds so good I don't know what I would be gaining. If someone wants to talk me into it, here I am. Be gentle.

Call me daft, but I kinda like the kidsy piano keys at the bottom, so would love that in a Chromaphone update.

Wouldn't they have to resemble a xylophone style layout?

So you are happy with the engine and functions?

I wonder about String taking a convolution approach to the Resonator bodies.

Yeah, particularly fond of Chromaphone. But I also dig that String Studio stuff. Both are my darlings, together with Lizard. Getting to know UltraAnalog and Strum a bit better now but, as for the latter, rtucker got me addicted to the quality of OrangeTreeSamples.
