Bert Guy: Hey, Bert, how are you, buddy? I hope you're doing great!
Thank you so much for taking time to check this one out for me, and for your very kind words of encouragement! I'm still trying to get myself back into the swing of things after a long time away from being able to spend any time in the studio, so I truly appreciate you listening and commenting, and it means a great deal to me.
By the way, I really like your latest post "Juliette Of The Spirit", great stuff, Bert!
Thanks again, and have a great week!

evadianepug: Hey, Warren, Thanks for coming back for a second helping on this one and for your valuable input!
I'm thinking that in my attempt at clearing up some muddiness, I may have carved out a little too much low end on my bass track for this so it may be lacking a bit of "ooomph". I'm going to try tweaking the EQ and also bringing the bass guitar up a notch or two to see what happens.
Thanks again for your help, friendship and support, Warren! Have a good one, buddy!

Walt Collins: Hey, Walt,
Thank you for coming back for a second listen and for your excellent suggestion about the possibility of the compression/limiting possibly washing things out a little bit!
After a long time off and all the changes to my normal listening devices, I thought the early mixes sounded muddy compared to the reference mixes I was using, so I carved out a ton of low end from the guitars, bass and drums, which allowed me more headroom to bump up the mastering limiter a few dBs. Then, Mix #2 sounded way light on low end, so I beefed up the lows just a touch for the third mix.
I'm going to back off on the limiter and add a touch more lows to just the bass and raise it a little bit to see if the low end beefs up to where it sounds fuller.
Your latest song "Causality" was pure dynamite, Walt, excellent work!
Big thanks, Walt, I greatly appreciate your input!

SteveStrummerUK: Hey, Steve!!! How's my "Metal Brother from Another Mother" doing? It's FANTASTIC to see you back around on the forum! I hope you're doing great!
Thanks so much for stopping by and giving this one a listen for me, and also for the kind words of encouragement! I've been having a bit of a rough time trying to get back into the swing of things after a long time away from the recording and mixing process, so I'm desperately trying to get my studio "ears" back in shape. LOL, I'll probably be bombing this place with song posts over the next few weeks trying to get my process sorted out!
I always look forward to your good input and observations on my stuff and greatly appreciate your friendship and support!
Have a great week, buddy and please keep in touch!
Bob
