[SOLVED]Sample Rate - I did a no-no (bit rate on export)

Being new, I accidentally changed the sample rate of my project. There is a 5 bar take I need from an old save, but it was 44/16. Now the project is 48/16( i think it may have been changed a few weeks ago). How would you fix this? I doubt I really need to be at 48/16. We're going to be doing everything but cutting the cd, if needed. What's the buzz? I see a couple ways of getting it done, but always want to check before wasting time on a non solution.....

Identify the audio file being used by the clip in the 44.1kHz project, and just import it into the 48kHz project. SONAR will do the rate conversion automatically. If it doesn't start at 1:01:000, you'll want to start by precisely placing the Now time to match the original clip's M:B:T start time, and use File > Import to import it to that exact position. You could match the start position to the sample, but you'd have to convert the old project's sample position to 48kHz equivalent, and it's probably not necessary to get that precise.

I like that idea. I'll give it a shot when I can turn up my speakers. We are using bars instead of time, and it seems to cut out any critical timing issues we have.
My issue is I use this computer for multiple things, and I can't seem to find a sample rate that makes everyone happy.
I am forever going to the Sound panel, highlighting the 2i2, going to advanced, and finding the sample rate that gives me a test signal.. It shouldn't be this hard so I must be having a brain short on which one I can choose and make them all happy.

I like happy.....

When I import the take, it is gray and no sound from the imported take. Oh and I found a take that is 48/16 .. I am sure I have doen this between 2 windows in different projects, but I get no waveform, on the paste, and no signal on the exported wav file.

Sounds like the clip for the imported file got muted somehow. Does it show a waveform? Hotkey 'K' will toggle clip mute on/off.

Regarding contention for your audio interface by different apps, I recommend keeping your onboard sound enabled and set as the default sound device for use by browsers and other generic multimedia players This leaves your audio interface dedicated to SONAR and any other apps that you specifically set up to use it instead of the default device.

It was the EXPORT dialog set to 32 bit. Didn't even notice it before your advice.. THANKS!
