Will somebody please tell me! I am using an old install version of DimPro. If it re-installs DimPro is it going to muck up my oldDimPro. There use to be a hack for the registry to get DimPro to work. Will I have to do that again? Or do I uninstall DimPro and let it install the new version? This DimPro update scares me because I have so many libraries and it has run like buttah all this time. I'm just trying to avoid a cluster$%/#^ with DimPro. PLEASE RESPOND!

Or / also ... What has changed with DimPro? (I have 3rd Party packs etc I don't want to compromise - and preferably not have to move/reinstall).

From memory it use to say there was an upsated for DimPro since the beginning, or at least earlier on, and questions were asked here about it, and I recall the answer was nothing has changed, just a new installer, I could be mistaken. I wouldn't let this (ccc) anywhere near my DIM Pro and Rapture installs, they run like a dream and have always done so, I'd like it to stay that way.

I had uninstalled Dim Pro a week or too back in a futile trouble shooting of Rapture Pro. I have just installed Dim Pro again now for CCC and it went smoothly. The multisamples went where I requested them on my F drive in a new folder I created (some posts say there was a problem if you did not select the default location). I did need to enter the serial number and activation code again, you must RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR when you open Dim Pro to do this. The cronic load/startup times for Rapture Pro seem to have been fixed by the latest update.

I am in the same boat with some older "free with version 8" or some such deal. I would treat that as NO! until someone says diff.

There may be some changes you will have to make after installing the new DP. I had to move the VST dll to my location and I had to make a few changes to the registry. It doesn't appear that the VST path is saved in the registry. I have my multisamples on the K drive, so you can see what happens in the regsitry settings below. Here are the three registry (User, Local Machine and WOW6432) areas I changed. These are exported Regedit files. I masked my serial numbers and personal data with XXX's.
