Here's how to import certain formats of multi channel audio into Sonar:
http://www.cakewalk.com/Documentation?product=SONAR%20X2&language=3&help=SurroundMixing.20.html Failing the above, you will need to extract the audio from the video file first and then import the individual mono wave files into Sonar. It has been a few years since I did this, but there are plenty of free utilities that will do the job. Many are command line based and will take a little learning. Which one you choose will depend upon the format of the original audio. 'Tranzcode' as been around for years. 'Eac3to' is another. There will no doubt by now be others that have a more straightforward GUI as well. Google 'extract 5.1 audio' and you will be spoiled for choice.
