Anyone Successfully using PCR-800 for all functions???

Hi,
I've recently replaced my FAtar SL-880 keyboard with a Roland PCR-800 out of necessity. My Fatar died and I can't afford to fix it right now but I had the PCR-800 hanging around so.....
I'm just curious if anyone has it running properly in Sonar Platinum? When I say properly I mean for all its Knobs, Buttons and Sliders. I have it working as a Midi controller, I can change channels, Octaves, Splits and Layers but I'd like to know more about using it with ACT and also how does the Dynamic Mapping function work? (DMap)? I get the feeling if its setup properly that I should be able to pull up any Synth or Plugin and hit the DMAP/Vlink button and have control over the parameters of that Synth/Plugin. If its a pain in the Arse just please let me know and I'll go back to using it for what I know.
Anyways,,,
Thanks

ACT (DMap) is the same for any controller. So you can read Chapter 40 in the Sonar Reference Guide. Other angle you can find here: http://www.azslow.com/index.php/topic,13.0.html

In short, someone has to map Synth/Plugin parameters to proper ACT controls. Many plug-ins have tuned mapping in the distribution, other are mapped "as is" (the first parameter in the automation list is the first ACT control). In both cases you can find you want your own mapping. Unfortunately, the process of changing this mapping is quite buggy in Sonar. But once that is properly done, it will work as expected.

Thanks for the quick reply. Well since there is no Magic Button that I missed I think I'll stick to composing at the moment which is the reason I came back to Sonar from Pro Tools in the 1st place!
    Thanks again
