Problems with recording all of a sudden

Ok so this is what is happening...

Hello my name is Kai and I am a KPOP coverist/Youtaite :)

So I just got a new behringer xenyx 302 usb and an audio technica at2020 xlr mic and I have SONAR Platinum. Yesterday my recordings were coming out fine but I had to delete all my project files (due to personal reasons), and as soon as I opened up a new project and started recording, I noticed that once I record a track the waveform isn't a clean straight line but more like jagged and inconsistent.

Now normally someone would say "use noise removal" , but I tried to do that and strangely enough the ns1 from waves took some noose out but not all of it! Everything was working fine until I deleted my files but now the line shows bumps and when I zoom in the waveform looks like a high pass filter at the beginning and looks all jagged and unsteady.

Is it my mic causing this or my interface or should I reinstall sonar all over again and see if it will work? I don't know but it's frustrating and I really want to do my covers :(

Does the track playback sound normal?
How a wave form looks is depending on the zoom level. Did you zoom in or out?
    What drivers are you using?
A lot of things can be wrong if you have not optimized your system and are not using good ASIO drivers for example.

See that's just it Cactus it sounds normal but once I apply the waves ns1 to it, it doesn't even look like it worked! Usually when i process the effect on it the lines in between the waveform are very straight and thin, indicating it has worked but when I did it the lines between the waveforms still look thick and some noise is heard.

I zoomed in and out and when I went all the way to 0 dB it still showed the line was thick, but when I muted my mic level on the computer I pressed record and low and behold the line was thin all the way through! I don't really know how to setup ASIO drivers :( I'm only 23 and have no technical experience. I mostly just read manuals and look on youtube but I use MME 32 bit and I have an interface that plugs in via USB so I'm not sure what do to to optimize my system -sobs uncontrollably
