Drum velocities

Hi,

I'm using Sonar 8.5, and am programming a drum pattern using Piano Roll with a drum map. I assume it's a proper drum map, as it automatically gets loaded when I insert SD3 using Insert Soft Synth.

I want to edit the velocities, but even though Show Velocity Tails is selected, they aren't showing! Toggling it makes no visual difference, and I can't select and drag to change the velocity, instead having to get the dialogue box up and input numerically, which I really don't want to have to do.

Anyone know a solution?

Thanks

Daniel

Hi. I do not have SONAR 8.5. But if you hover you mouse indicator at the bottom of the screen (in Piano Roll), do you get a double arrow at some point? If so drag that up to a user friendly size.
    Best of luck.

Are you using the Select tool or the Draw tool?
Using SD 2 in SONAR Home Studio 6 with GM drum map, I hover the Draw tool over the note (not the velocity) until horizontal lines appear above the cursor, then drag the velocity.
Just discovered the SD 2 map. That works the same.
In X3, the lines are vertical, but using the Draw tool and dragging works there, too.

I am selling my MIM Fender Stratocaster HSS, red and black. PM for more details.

Music Creator 2003, MC Pro 24, SONAR Home Studio 6 XL, SONAR  X3e, CbB, Focusrite Saffire, not enough space.
    Everything is better with pie.
