Dimension Pro Issues . . .
I originally left off installing Dimension Pro that came with my Platinum Bundle because I had it running properly in my X3 version. When I rescanned for plugins in Platinum it showed up properly in the list. That is until I tried to open it in Platinum. It Crashed every time I tried to access it. I did a "reset" in Plugin preferences and still same problem. I tried to open it in X3 and now it doesn't work there either.?! So as I was trying to think it out I decided to "un-install" the program and install the version in the Platinum bundle. It finished the download and began install. It notified it was installed. To be safe I went to open it up in stand-alone mode but I couldn't see where it was installed. No shortcuts?! I checked in Platinum and X3 and it wasn't listed in the VST Instruments? I then went to the program files and no Dimension Pro? I checked for the content folders on my E drive and all of my drives, no dimension Pro? I en tried again with my firewall disabled. I re-installed again but now it's a ghost in my machine now? I see the Downloaded 3GB file but installation keeps telling me it was successful? My Stats: Windows 7 - 64 bit: Service Pack 1; Intel i7-#930 2.83ghz; 12GB RAM; E-MU 1820 24/196 audio interface. X3 worked with no issues and I've been on this platform quite a while. Help!?
What if it is the only way?

Try setting up your own shortcut, with the following for the Target: "C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Vstplugins\Dimension Pro\Dimension Pro x64.exe" That's where mine is - also the Start In value for the shortcut would be: "C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Vstplugins\Dimension Pro" If you navigate to the above folder, you should see the program there, called Dimension Pro x64.exe. Thanks Bob for the Idea. But I have attempted 4 times to install Dimension Pro and the installer goes through the motions and indicates it installed but it is nowhere to be found on my system?! I even checked to make sure that I am the only profile on my machine. I have had an instance on another machine where someone hacked in my system and created an administrator profile then locked me out. But this ones got me scratching my head. Maybe the installer "thinks" it installed it but didn't?

I am not quite sure I understood - do you find the Dimension Pro folder in the VSTplugins folder - per the path I provided in my earlier post? Does Dimension Pro show up as a VST2 plugin if you try to insert a synth to the synth rack? Bob Bone

I also wonder if it needed to be fully removed, including any existing registry keys, prior to your reinstall efforts. Bob Bone

Like I mentioned I already had it running in X3 Producer prior to installing Platinum. But it wouldn't run in Platinum. It would crash Platinum. Then I couldn't get it to run in X3 either [kept crashing there too]. I uninstalled and installed the DimPro that came with Platinum. After that install It didn't show up in Platinum. I then went to look for it in vst folder but Dim Pro .dll file nowhere to be found. I tried to re-install it again [the one that came with Platinum]. Same result, it went through the install motions but still wasn't showing up in Platinum or my system. I actually went to programs where you would un-install any program and it was not listed there either? Actually Platinum wasn't in the list either?. Command Center was there. I tried all of the suggestions except the registry. Not sure exactly how to perform that procedure.

Thanks, Alex. I had to run earlier, and hadn't time to find those threads. Bob Bone
