Odd problem with midi writing in multiple locations

I have a problem I can't figure out. If I input midi in the piano roll view, it copies it into previous sections in 4 bar chunks, combining with what I had already written in. I can't figure out what I did to make this happen, does anyone know what would cause this?

Thanks!

What do you mean by input midi? Give more details. Did you use linked clips?

I input the midi data using my mouse on the piano roll function. I'm not sure if I used linked clips, to be honest I'm not even sure what that is. But when I use my mouse to click midi notes in, it repeats itself in chunks. When I try to delete the unwanted duplicated midi notes, the originals are deleted as well. I'm not sure what setting I used or how to disable it.

Do you now what midi clip is? If not I'd suggest you to read help a bit, try some features by yourself.
Linked clips is midi clips that is linked with each other, so if you change one, other change in the same way.
They are displayed with a dotted border in track view, if midi track is set to display clips.

This will also happen if you CLONE a track or clip.
