[SOLVED] Local Help FIle?

Hi,

Missing the local help file on my Platinum installation. Installed without the CCC. Didn't see an option to install local help. REALLY don't like the online version. Local help is greyed out in Preference.

Wondering where I could find/download the file and how to install it (preferably not on my C:/ as it is a SSD).

Thanks in advance,
Jon

Local Help, are you referring to the Sonar PDF manual ?
I think it's still part of the giant "Sonar Tutorials" download in Command Center
You can now redirect the Command Center downloads to another drive / location, so as not to overload your SSD.
Or, if you have room, just do the install, and then move it to another drive.

The installer for the pdf doesn't give an option of "where" it installs to, and both the Reference and User Guides got put into the program directory (C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\SONAR Platinum). The installer (if downloaded manually from the product page) is called "SONAR Local Documentation" at the bottom of the SONAR tree.

    Hi.

If you don't want to use CCC, go to https://www.cakewalk.com/My-Account/Products select Sonar to expand the list and the last item will be Sonar Local Documentation.  It is a very large file but I seem to recall Ryan from CW explaining that's because it contains all the material in multiple languages, but should only install in your local language so won't permanently take up that much space.

Great! Followed instructions and have local help within Platinum.

And yes, you are correct, although the download is large, the actual help file isn't (53MB).

    Thanks everyone!
