Cleverbridge

CW might want to rethink their relationship with Cleverbridge. How about finding a company that you can actually communicate with when they blow it? How about Digital River? If they can't send me the link or add to my account a simple Strum upgrade in 2 days after being paid, they need to go......out of business.

just sayin, and I mean it in the best possible sense.

That would be scary and should be reported to the FTC, and the Consummer Groups. It would suggest they sold more than they had meant to ... and did not address the issue in a timely manner, knowing they had done so. That's extremely poor management, and reckless!

And then they go out and complaint about piracy, when they are doing almost the same thing and pretending to ignore it!

Sorry ... there is no excuse for that! Time for something else!

Music is not about notes and chords! My poem is not about the computer or monitor or letters! It's about how I was able to translate it from my insides!

I've dealt with Cleverbridge and CW 3 times. All 3 times they both past the buck to the other one.
That should not be the goal. Since it is, it is time to revisit the relationship. When I deal with Cleverbridge, they are the face of Cakewalk, and there is no way around it. They are not living up to "your" reputation.

You realize the serial numbers are provided by the company which developed the software. The product is not made by Cakewalk. Occasionally Cakewalk runs out of serial numbers typically during sales. The problem is remedied usually within a few days.

Just In Time inventory (JIT) isn't always just in time enough.  Nature of the game.

it doesn't matter. That is blatantly bad and the FTC and other groups are out to punish people that routinely do that.

So here we are complaining about piracy, and these folks are actually doing the same thing, and probably getting away with it, and we allow it, and say nothing, or get banned for saying anything?

One would hope that Cakewalk, and others, would at the very least be concerned with some ethics, and not errors that are not errors! This type of mistake is not acceptable, or pretty soon the brakes in your car won't work, because it is not the correct serial number and GM says that it is not their problem ... the problem is in Mexico or Antarctica somewhere, instead!

Bananas!

Maybe they could try some applied mathematics on their inventory/sale model.......

I don't care to deal with Cleverbridge either. They take no responsibility, or they seem to not want to... they give me the feeling that I am a bother to them if I have a question. They may be a good company but any company is only as good as the representative you deal with.
