    1 totally awesome song
2 could not get a mix this good myself
3 going to advise some, purely hoping you benefit from it.
4 again, a great mix & nothing wrong with it.

    mix:
What would make the song stand out more, I think, is if the acoustic guitars would be a little less prominent.
There are so many great licks/bits in this song, but somehow they're just a little covered up, by the guitars which appear to be everywhere, would maybe be better to pan them hard, or move them out from the center a little (if they're in there)+ cut a little low freqs.
In general, to my ears, all the instruments are a little too much into eachother, a little seperation (pan,eq, mono maybe) would help.
Or perhaps, turning down the whole mix by 0.1 or 0.2db would help..not shure..

    arrangement:
I think 'the hook' of the song is that energy vocal thing, and the awesome guitars really rock.
To make this stand out more, I would choose a real simple bass + drum pattern.
And I would choose to 'calm down' a little between the 'Thief' parts, to make it even more dynamic.
Then the bridge, starting very quiet and then building up to a short endpart, totally thrashing it and leaving listeners speechless (wtf was that ?).

anyway, awesome song and well mixed, looking forward to more songs !

Add that ambient synth if you like, but I do not think it needs it, in my humble opinion of course

This sounds like an excerpt from an alternative rock action musical. Great stuff!!!
Sonic wise everything is there, no suggestions on the arrangement... it is what it is.
To me it really sounds like it was composed to a theatrical scene happening on stage.

    Best regards,

A bit more of a dense mix for you Rob. Bass is not present enough for me.

    interesting opinion, andy,
you like the pure 'breakdown' approach better than some sonic 'segue' to link the two sections together...

maybe THAT is the best way.

    thanks for listening and commenting

    thanks god-z...
i've had a couple of different versions of this before i landed on this one....
the guitar chords are a little bit different than the norm,
but it's still just a riff-oriented song, really

    and YES,
    it is a dense mix.

i have since gone back and worked on the bass quite a bit,
as well as the drum level to match,
and have actually taken some of the density out (with simple level and panning changes) and think it's a lot more dialed in now....

maybe i'll post the new version?

So, I'm in Utah (SLC, going to Snowbird) and for the first time this summer had a minute to listen.  Been busy with business and Grandkids.  Saw this tune and clicked.  it says it is gone or private or something..  Have I forgotten how to do this?

This is normal for Rob, as he uploads a new mix of a song, he takes the old one down...
