Is X3 discontinued? Is "Professional" the same thing? Where can I get Breverb?

Pardon my confusion.
I dont see X3 anywhere on the site.

I was actually looking to get Breverb, which does not come with X3 studio (thats what I have) so I was wondering if it came with the new upgrades, or, can I buy a version for SONAR X3?

Anybody know the answers to either question?

Thanks

    X3 was discontinued when the new version of SONAR was rolled out. Here is the comparison matrix for the new SONAR http://www.cakewalk.com/Products/SONAR/Versions#start

    Breverb is an Overloud product and is available from their website and resellers.

    Yes - X3 is discontinued (but still supported) and not available unless you find a retail box somewhere (if they were even produced(?)).

    X3 was 2013/14. '2015' equivalents are:
    Standard = Artist
    Studio = Professional
    Producer = Platinum

    Doktor's cured your Breverb enquiry.

    OK.

    thank you all.

    If I get the upgrade to Professional, will it still look like X3Studio or will it be different and lots of changes?

    I'm fairly new to X3, I was on Home Studio 6 for years and years. Not sure if I want to jump into a new version with even more changes.

    There are still some X3 Producer boxes out there. Zzounds even claims to have one upgrade version $149.00 left.

    You need to get the upgrade to Platinum for breverb unless you somehow get X3 from somewhere. Personally I would just update to that (why stick with X3?).

    Ta.

    Professional (/all editions) still look very much like X3.
    It's still the Skylight Interface ... but has an enhanced Control Bar and additional PRV controls.
    See:
    http://www.cakewalk.com/Products/SONAR/Whats-New#start
    and

    for more info.

    About the only loss is Pentagon (from Producer to Platinum). Plenty of new stuff.

    The new Sonar is essentially exactly the same as X3 except with some new features. None of the main stuff has changed. The only thing that might be slightly odd coming from X3 is the new Control Bar but the only change there is that you can adjust the size of/manage the modules better (takes like 2 seconds to figure out and is WAY better than the extremely inflexible Control Bar that preceded it).

    Most of the changes are internal (so you won't notice them) or by way of additional tools/goodies (which you have to actually insert/open/use to notice).

    I'd say if you have the dough you're better off just upgrading to the current version so you're moving along with the rest of us and get all the extra cool crud.

    You could even just try it out for a month membership first to make sure you like it then buy in for a full year (which allows you to own and keep everything from your join date and everything that gets released for the next 12 months).

    Professional is indeed the comparitive version to "Studio" in the old version paradigm. You get more with Platinum though but it's mostly just extra tools/effects/instruments.

    You could also just try out the demo which was just released but those always kind of suck and don't give a good impression of what the real deal can do. Maybe Cake did it right this time but really... it's probably worth the extra dough for a month membership so you can work in an uncrippled environment.

    Cheers.

    Why not try the demo. See the sticky posts at the top of the forum. There's a demo for each version.

    FWIW I had absolutely zero problems moving from X3 to Platinum. By far the biggest thing to "get used to" was using the Command Center to install. Everything else is 99 percent the same, except you get some extras (plus under the hood bugfixes and tweaks).

    I don't think it'll 'make it' based on this definition:
