Recording Software needed for Presonus Mixer

Good Day,
I don't know if this is the right section to ask this, but if not, maybe someone can direct me in to the right direction. We bought a Presonus Mixer for our church and in the manual it said that Cakewalk Sonar 6+ works good as a recording software. Now we are doing a little research to see if it has all the recording features that we would need. Could anyone help us out and tell us if it has the following features? Or is there a different product out there that will work well with the Presonus Mixers?

-export to MP3 file
-edit Recordings
-record 1 session at a time
-record and edit at the same time
-listen to your recording

Thanks in advance.
Olaf

Sonar has all of those features...

I don't know why you would "record and edit" at the same time....
typically you record...then edit and mix afterwards...

The "export to MP3" is an optionally add on for $9.99

    Hope that helps

In Studio One 3 it now acts as a remote control for your mixer as well as having iPad apps for remote control as well. While I like my Sonar, Presonus' own software is better integrated with their hardware.

Record and edit simultaneously sounds like begging for trouble...Just me thinking...
I do doubt if any DAW does it reliably (or at all??). Even editing during playback is sometimes risky.
Otherwise, practically any entry level DAW does what's in your list.

SONAR PE 8.5.3, Asus P5B, 2,4 Ghz Dual Core, 4 Gb RAM, GF 7300, EMU 1820, Bluetube Pre  -  Kontakt4, Ozone, Addictive Drums, PSP Mixpack2, Melda Creative Pack, Melodyne Plugin etc.

The best program to use with Presonus mixers is a program called 'Capture'. You do not need the full version of Studio One V3. It may even come with the Presonus mixer or check into downloading it.

Studio One can record and edit at the same time but even so I would not do it. It can be dangerous. You are likely to make a wrong move and stop the recording. I don't think Capture can record and edit at the same time though. It is just designed to record what is coming into the Presonus mixer.

Capture will generate the files that you can easily drag into Sonar or any other DAW.
