Old version of cakewalk need help

Hi.
I have a quick question. I bought cakewalk music creator 2 years ago and have been using it recently. Can anyone tell me how to display the staff as a guitar tab? I see the option but when I check it nothing changes. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    MC2 is a very old program.  I don't know anything about it, actually because when I started, I started with the MC4 series.
     
    are you running it on a winxp system?  if not and you're running it on win7 or above you may have problems with functions which will not operate anyway.
