Guitarist needs a little extra rehearsal time ..bum chords at 0.22,  0.30 and  then 1:54; sounds like he went out of tune completely there. Keyboard player has the parts down though.

Jaymes, I fink "My Pal Mooch" was probably leaning toward thoughts on production vs. performance.

The production sounded OK. I'd have to fix/edit those parts before posting though, if it was me.

It sounds like a good live mix.  A couple hot spots on the female vocal but live isn't easy and you did a stand up job, Mooch.

Pretty good overall performance. Live is live, a few warts. I enjoyed. Pretty good live capture. I agree with James, may have been a good idea to layer a rhythm track or two to cover up the few little warts and thicken it a bit.

Yeah -- our singer isnt really a guitar player -- he tune to an open E chord and strums along and occasionally ... well you heard what occasionally happens -- I think he just likes having the guitar on him and something to hang on to while he sings .....he had emailed me about the same points you mentioned and then even more than that -- to drop or cut those bad chords out

We've been looking for a keyboard player forever - I play bass and program the MIDI that you said didn't make a single Mistake - all through sonar on a lap top -- the drummers controls the stops and starts and listens to a click -- through Sonar X2 - still a bad ass little program

Well yeah I Am impressed with the Behringer xr18 - if you dont know what it is look it up -- Its a digital mixing board with built in fx with no mixer - use a lap top or ipad or iphone as the mixer

anyway - I am not here to root on Behringer products -- but I was able to easily record every track and full drum kit from the xr18 on my lap top into  sonar x2... both the mixer on the xr18 works great running at the same time on the laptop   -- on a cheap lap top at that

anyway - I was impressed at how easy everything was -

its not something a pro audio guy recording the Red Hot Chili Peppers live would consider - but for my little group -

really a great combo sonar and xr18  for live stuff -- its new to me I am still learning it and having some fun too

thats all

sonar x2 and behringer xr18  - True love Always

I thought it sounded like your Behringer board accurately represented the source material.  :) Sounds like a fun party! I'd play keyboards for barbecue . . .

I guess I listened to the edited version and that sounded pretty good to me.

Good job on the patch. Another listen and I can say A+ on the drum mic placement and capture for sure. Might just be me, but the guitar sounds a bit dry, almost DI. I'm not sure if it's a mic placement thing. I think I would try a cabinet emu on that.
