Weird symptom

I had to take in my computer to clean out a virus. Now I've got this problem:

When I insert a software program into an audio track Cakewalk and I click the box in order to select a preset Cakewalk doesn't allow me to open up the box. It seems to be happening with all plugins. Anyone have a clue as to what is happening?

Do you get some sort of message?  Maybe the antivirus software is set to be too restrictive?  Perhaps you can do what a lot of folks do, and add the Sonar paths to the 'exclusions' in your antivirus software - that would also improve performance quite a bit, I would imagine.

Other folks disconnect from the internet and temporarily suspend their antivirus software right before launching a Sonar session, which would be similar to the 'exclusions' option I mentioned above.
