[Solved] bank/patch change off by one

I'm working with banks and patches in Kontakt and LASS.

I have LASS articulations loaded into instrument banks. Each articulation is inserted in ascending order, beginning with number '1.'
I have the banks assigned to different midi channels.

I'm almost there.  Everything seems to work, except that when I insert bank/patch change in Sonar, the numbers are one off.

In other words, when I put in a patch change of '1' in Sonar's insert>bank/patch, it triggers patch 2, when I input a change of 2, it triggers 3, etc. Every patch is off by one.

Anyone know what I am doing wrong?

Some systems count starting at 0 (zero) whilst others start at 1 (one) that explains your offset problem

I'm not sure whether you use drum maps or instrument definitions to correct that problem but I'm sure someone else will be along to help you. Just be patient. There's probably a setting somewhere to fix it.

I'm starting to research the idea of using drum maps...not very clear on the whole thing yet, so bumping, to see if anyone has any more info.

If I remember correctly you can define this for each/every instrument in one of the ini files... I haven't done this in a while but you need to add the instrument definition to your master.ini file...

I'll see if I can remember more but I don't have access right now...

From memory, under define instruments in the midi section of the preferences menu, as well as other options such as 'default' or 'general midi', for any midi output channel you can choose either 0-127 or 1-128 as program change options. Choose whichever one works correctly for you.

Awesome, that solves the one-off problem, thank you.
