STAGG amplifiers?? never heard of them,, anyone?

Been looking for a multi channel "clean" amp or powered speaker with a mike input for my programs I do at work.  I'm an activities person so I do all these sing a longs and stuff. I can do it un plugged but when we have a good turnout there can be 40 people in the room and the staff banging around making noise in the background. A lot of these folks are hard of hearing to boot.  I have a very small PA I use but that involves a mixer and a powered speaker.

I've been looking for a while and have been disapointed that what I needed seem to sell for $500 or more. That's to much for a "tool" for work.  Yesterday I found this Stagg 60 watt acoustic amp second hand in a music store for only $130. List price was $350.
It is LOUD, a bit boomy and certainly seems like it will do the job. I might even give it a go as a electric guitar amp using my pedal board. Anyhow, there is almost no info or reviews about the company, seems to be from Belgium.
On a long shot I thought I see if anyone else here has used this companies stuff. They make a lot of equipment and I think they are common in Europe.

Never heard of STAGG, however it made me chuckle. There was a Chinese company a few years back by the name of Tsunami. They made cheap power amps utilizing their "Tsunami Integrated Technology" which they spelled out as an acronym. Their ad asked such all important questions as "What is T.I.T.?" "Who can benefit from T.I.T?" "Isn't it time for you get T.I.T?" they needed a better publicist.

There have been a lot of products that have used the name stagg over the years. I've seen the name on asian knock-off guitars but never on an amp. I remember having a stagg Les Paul back in the 70's and it was terrible. It becomes really hard to tell where the product comes from by using the name.

If it meets your needs and works well, go for it. When/if it dies it's probably a throw away item.

    From the web site:

Established in 1995, Stagg is a brand dedicated to bringing high quality musical instruments and accessories to musicians of all types, at the most attractive prices.
All our instruments, from brass and woodwind to guitars and basses, from drums and cymbals to piano benches, are handmade from designs created by our team of specialists at our global HQ in Belgium.
Our instruments are available all over the world through our extensive distribution network. You will always find a dealer near you!

Totally sounds like your typicial off shore "non brand name" company to me. But I sort of new that before I bought it because someone like me kinda has a nose for it.

The Amp does not have  " Made in China"  sticker or anything for that matter but I would imagine this is where they are made. It is very solid build and weighs in at 40 lbs.
Cruising the web site and the face book page they seem focused on Brass stuff lke wind instruments and cymbals. It has a date of 2012 so it's certainly broken in by now. No scratchy pots or hums even when cranked up full. The reverb is an actual old school spring tank.
