Sonar X1 Studio Channel Tools
Hey gang, I've used the pre-set in Channel Tools called "Increase Width" on my master bus to increase that "stereo spectrum". Problem is: when I listen back (especially on Headphones) I hear a definitive Left increase. It's like the Master pan is set to 9 oclock. I think it's the nature of the plug in. RE: that's how it achieves the widening effect by panning certain frequencies off center. Could be wrong tho. Dunno. In any case, is there another effect that will give a widening similar to the one in channel tools that doesn't pose this problem?

the free Voxengo MSED is simular to Channel Tools, easy to install/use. on MSED you could cut the mid signal by 0.1db and try how that sounds, then tweak ik to your likings.

Thanks Wouter! Is it a VST 64 bit plug in? I'll give that a shot. :)

there's a few versions including a VST3, not sure if it's 32 or 64 bit though..

Hey Wouter, I just went to the Voxengo website but couldn't find the "MSED" plug in. I downloaded a couple of their free VST plug ins including Stereo Touch_281. Is that the one that you meant?
