What Brandon Ryan's up to these days

He's identified as "Group Strategy Manager" in this video demo for Sweetwater, showing off Roland's new modular synth.

The synth doesn't excite me - soft synths have spoiled me for features vs. price expectations - but it's only $600 if you have a strong urge to acquire a modular for its coolness factor.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

I saw the name there too and had to watch it.

That synth doesn't excite me either, but I already bit on the modular thing and it's good that Roland has joined the game.

And Tom Oberheim said this one will be ~$700 whenever he releases it:

In order, then, to discover the limit of deepest tones, it is necessary not only to produce very violent agitations in the air but to give these the form of simple pendular vibrations. - Hermann von Helmholtz, predicting the role of the electric bassist in 1877.
