Just took the plunge to Platinum, and need some advice.

Hello Good People,

Per my subject line, I purchased the upgrade to Sonar Platinum, going from Sonar X3 Producer. I was wondering if I need to download DP, and Rapture, since it is already installed from X3.

Thanks in advance,

George

No need to d/l DPro or Rapture. This might help WRT what to d/l http://forum.cakewalk.com/FindPost/3264981

Are the Rapture expansion packs automatically included in the download, or do I need to download it separately?

The expansion packs are not included in the new Rapture installer. The current Rapture installer Rapture122Setup_1.2.2.10.exe is only 27MB. I thought you were going to use the DPro and Rapture already installed. Anyway the expansion packs are on the product support page http://www.cakewalk.com/S...re-Expansion-Packs-1-2

Sorry, I have those expansion packs, I was wondering about, for example the Hardgroove Steinberger Rapture Expansion Pack. Are those automatically downloaded, and installed when you download the program. I'm not home, and I haven't downloaded anything yet. I really appreciate the info.

The Hardgroove samples and Rapture programs were a Braintree exclusive offering. Since you just purchased a membership, those are not included. They are on sale now for $20.

The Hardgroove Steinberger pack is available as part of the Platinum install and appears as a separate item in the Cakewalk Command Centre, if you choose to install it via the CCC. If you choose an offline installation the pack must be installed separately

This is only true for users who were members during the Braintree release. The product in not included for users who started their membership with Cambridge or later. It is a separate purchase.
