Wall of Sound! Here comes the Rooster!

Decided to try to replicate the cool triple tracking in each channel trick that Alice in Chains used to get that massive guitar sound.
So a friend and I (a friend with a bunch of awesome amps and lots of skill) did a cover of Rooster.

Give it a listen if you have time.  Crank it if you have space!

If you care about this stuff, the amps we used were a Splawn modded Marshall, an original Rockman unit, and an ADA.

Only headphones as well here, but those chorused guitars sure sound good! As do the vocals and the crunchy parts. I think you've met your goal.

As an aside, this a really good sounding cover!   The lead vocal reminds a little of Axel Rose in a few spots during the verses.

Really well done! I.m.o., what really stands out is the vocal performance. Very convincing!

Never heard this before.  I did like the vocalist.  It sounds good.  I especially like it when the whole thing happened about 2:15.  I wondered earlier in the tune about your "wall of sound".  There it is.

Thanks for the listen everyone. It was a really fun cover to do for sure. For you guitarists out there all the amps went through a torpedo 3 and it is an amazing direct box/cab sim. On the sonar side it was recorded back and forth between splat and x3 with no hiccups at all. Altogether a wonderful recording experience!
