Hi Rob, Got them, thanks. batsbrew curious to see if they translate together.
Not sure what you mean Rob. From a mix perspective, from my limited experience, I think that Moonshine appears to be louder than Angel. But I'm out of my depth here and I shouldn't really comment. If they sat next to each other on an album, I think that would work fine, in my opinion. cheers andy

Hi BB, I've got a bone to pick with you : WHERE ARE MY BLOODY GUITAR Solo's ; ) Now that's outof the way, both sound excellent to me, composition playing and mixing. As it is now the difference in volume is a bit strange, the quiet acoustic moment is much louder than the heavy electric one, could be anice surprise thugh ; ) Rik

Hey, Rob, I like Angel with vocals a bunch. I liked it as Redwood Road (instrumental version) but I always like vocals especially when they are done so well. I'm going to listen to Moonshine now. I believe I've heard both of these just recently. OK, Moonshine sounds really great through the phones. Usually I prefer phones to listen to music, however, this song was so full through your monitors it was unbelievable. You know I am not a mix guy (well, somewhat) but will speak up if I hear something that seems out of place or doesn't fit. None of that here, buddy. Say hi to Cat for me.

by the way, sorry to be late with reponses, but -- i've been in colorado for the last 4 days, I've been at "Guitar town", at copper mountain, in summit county, and saw some killer guitar players put on some serious concerts over 2 days time

LOL, guitar solos, check!! you know, i could do an entire album of nothing but wild guitar solos, and maybe i'd sell one. heheh the acoustic IS louder, in perceived volume, i'm gonna have to master that one with a different approach, good ear.

Say hi to Cat for me. hey warren! the moonshine song seems louder to me, setting side by side with the angel tune. and that moonshine song, is mostly all acoustic, lightly played, so you'd think that it would be softer.. but no. it's amazing how matching RMS levels does NOT really tell you what the dynamic range of a mix will be. good lesson to learn.
