The Boz Digital Labs Contest Issues

I see that there are quite a few of you entering his contest. I too planned on entering it but I am having issues getting all the tracks into Sonar at the beginning of the time line. All the audio on the tracks come in late, much later then where they should.
I can tell that it is NOT because the cursor was set late on the ruler. It was set at the beginning when I imported the files.
Anyone have a clue what might be happening?

Cheers,

Chad

Do the audio files have timestamps and do you have Always Import Broadcast Waves At Their Timestamp option ticked in Preferences?

Wasn't just me then... I just dragged the clips back to zero and deleted the markers...

I believe the audio files have time stamps. And yes I have "Always Import Broadcast Waves At Their Timestamp" checked.
Is this what it should be?

but they came in miles from zero... why would the "time stamp" be so far down the project?

By the way Chad, do me a favour please... Solo Vox (36), or open it in your favourite editor, go to 2:21.56 and tell me what you think of that particular vocal phrase. No one else has commented on this, but there is something in that recording that really grates on me...

I look forward to hearing your mix

    cheers

Well I am eased a bit knowing that I wasn't the only one with this problem. On my system the drum tracks start 60 minutes from the beginning. Anyway, I will do what you did Andy. Just drag everything to the start.

Andy, I will check out vox 36 and get back to you.

    Cheers,

Most broadcast waves have a timestamps of 60 mins.

I think there are multiple glitches in the original recordings, including the acoustic tracks.   It's a bit surprising to me.

Same here, and you can hear some of them in the original mix. Makes me wonder if it was done deliberately to catch peeps out, and made sure that you had listened to the complete song or something...

There are all kinds of weird things going on with these track. I think they did mess them up a bit on purpose to se who catches them.

Andy, I heard that section on the vox track you were talking about. At least I think we are talking about the same part. Anyway there were a few clicks and pops in that phrase. I clean them up a bit. It didn't sound too bad to me.

Anyway, I am well underway on my mix and hope to have it done in the next few days or so.

    Cheers,
