[SOLVED] Using LFO Tool with Sonar to send CC data to external hardware?

Evening all -

I'm trying to figure out how to use the LFOTool plugin with Sonar Platinum to send the LFO CC data to an external MIDI/CV convertor. LFOTool installs in Sonar as an Audio FX, and I have no problem using it as an audio effect for softsynths or external audio routed into Sonar.  However, for the life of me I can't figure out how to configure the plugin - and Sonar - so I can route the LFO CC data out.

Any tips would be most appreciated -
Thanks!

Don't have hardware to test but I suspect this should work
    1. Add LFOTool to an FX bin
    2. Using the VST2 dropdown in the LFOTool standard header "Enable MIDI Output"
    3. In the bottom left if the LFOToo UI set the MIDI CC value
    4. Add a MIDI track
    5. Set the input of the MIDI track to the LFOTool
    6. Set the output to the MIDI device/interface
    7. Enable "Echo On" in the MIDI track
    8. Now when the transport is running LFOTool should send CC data to the MIDI track and out to the MIDI device

    Hey scook -
    Appreciate the quick assist!
Thanks to your tip about the VST2 drop down (appreciate that!), I now have MIDI Out enabled.

I'm testing this with a very simple project for now -
    1. Clean audio track hosting LFOTool
    2. Clean MIDI track, with MIDI track input set to LFO Tool, output set to a my virtual MIDI port (LoopBE) which currently is not routed to anything else.

For some reason, as soon as I change the CC assignment in LFOTool from OFF to any CC value, Sonar crashes.
Seems to occur regardless of the MIDI destination I set for the MIDI track.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks!

    Randy

IDK, I just setup a project as you describe without crashing. Empty audio and MIDI tracks with v1.5 of LFOTool and v1.6 of LoopBe1 in SONAR Platinum G. Default LFOTool except set CC to 1 and run up the cur value on the upper right. Enable MIDI Echo, start transport and MIDI meter shows activity moving in synth w/ LFOTool.

I updated to the latest version of LFO Tool (1.5.2), and everything seems to be working okay now.
    Thanks scook!

Yes, I just realized I am a few releases behind. Glad the update fixed the crash.
