Maybe a Feature Request???

Hey group,

Would anyone else, other than myself, think it would be a cool feature to be able to modify/change MIDI and AUDIO clip headers?

I'll explain.....So, I've been building a MIDI drum track for a new project.  dragging and dropping bits and pieces of different MIDI clips from many different grooves on my timeline.  Rearranging them - slice it here, tweak it there, swap this fill for that one, etc. Each of the different MIDI clips have a header with info about that particular clip.  However, as I stated, they are all chopped up and from different "genres" (some are rock, some jazz, some pop) which, after slicing and dicing, really looks quite messy and doesn't really offer any kind of coherency.  So, once I get it sounding the way I want it - I find it easier to deal with to bounce all of those chopped up MIDI clips into one cohesive clip.  BUT....in doing so, you lose the info from the clip header because I have now overwritten them into this Frankenstein MIDI clip.  It's just blank space.

My question is.....Wouldn't it be nice to now be able to go click on the new clip's header and give my new creation a name?
And take it a step further - maybe I now split this new clip at each verse and chorus....Wouldn't it be cool to label each one?
Like "Song Title - Drums Intro"....."Song Title - Drums Verse 1"....."Song Title - Drums Verse 2", etc.

Let me know what you think.  Thanks everyone.

You can do this in the Inspector, can't you? The clip names have always been editable. Personally I liked the easy right-click access from previous versions. But we can't have everything.

Haha.....OK.  Well, I'm glad this is an internet forum and you're not able to see how truly red my face is right now.

So, clearly I'm an idiot and just haven't spent any real time with the inspector.  The bad news is that I can remedy my lack of knowledge of the inspector - my being an idiot......well, that may have to remain as is for a while.

Thanks for the input guys.  I truly appreciate it.
