Not only that he's definitely putting his security at risk by running a hacked installation (possibly) which he will never know about until it's too late. Windows authorisation may also fail for him one day, and would you trust downloading a file from a person who does not have a virus scanner.

If he wants to do that himself he can, but dragging other people into it... I do protesteth..

Clean Install of Windows took me a couple of hours. I used the Windows UK edition pro.

Other than making the privacy choice on all fifteen installation questions, I have made only two Windows tweaks... I disabled USB selective suspend in power plans. I disabled sharing Windows updates in a peer to peer network.

Install of sonar was longer, but I only downloaded the files once and did my laptop and desktop, so that saved time.

Took a while to notice manual installs like pro channel modules. I found them on my old accounts page.

Overload, addictive drums, melodyn, Melda productions, nomad suite.

Z3TA took a while because I was looking for Zeta. Then my expansion packs.

Media monkey gold lifetime edition for burning, tagging files, CD text and playback.

Downloaded gobbler but I'm waiting to need it before installing.

I discovered that I could not set exclude folders for Windows defender. This may mean I will have to disable Windows defender from time to time.
