VKFX
Cakewalk got me to the store with their Summer Sale ads. I was interested when i was looking at the VKFX, does anyone here use them much? would anyone recommend purchasing them(only 9.99 per plugin), or do the plugins already in sonar match or surpass them.

Forget buying the individual plug-ins, pick up the bundle for $50. It includes all the VST and PC modules and an extremely useful VST Rack. I use the rack much more than the individual plug-ins. Here is a video demo

Yes , I have the VKFX and it is one of the most satisfying purchases I have ever made from the Cakewalk store. If you can spring for the whole Suite I would recommend that…you will get much more flexibility and usability . The Suite runs standalone if you want to use it that way …and the Suite can be used in other DAW's Many of the included presets and device chains within the plug sound great ( to me ) so dialing up a good starting and end point is pretty easy. For SONAR the individual modules are tightly integrated w the Pro Channel so you can place them anywhere you want in the signal chain within the Pro Channel . The VKFX 's sound has a lot of character . I love the whole Suite combination thing and I use it all the time . Kenny

I will have to agree with everyone so far. The suite is the way to go. I love the chorus sound. And the preamp sounds real good on clean guitar. You can't go wrong. Some of the best money I spent at the store.

FCCfirstclass +1 for VKFX bundle on sale for $50.
The VKFX bundle is a great tool to have. Each time I reach for it I get some great ideas. It's a no brainer at that price.
Two internal 2TB SSDs laptop stuffed with Larry's deals and awesome tools. Studio One is the cat's meow as a DAW now that I've migrated off of Sonar. Using BandLab Cakewalk just to grab old files when migrating songs.

StudioCat > I use Windows 10 and Sonar Platinum. I have a touch screen. I make some videos. This one shows how to do a physical loopback on the RME UCX to get many more equalizer nodes.

Really glad you got the suite - I think it's great. I use Electric Piano sounds a lot, and always use the VKFX on them - even when using the real thing. I have used it on guitar quite a bit too. The PC modules get used on their own as well. Enjoy.

not only does it work great on the guitar …shhheeeshhh now that that secret is out of the bag and declassified The full Suite works fantastic on a buss …. I found this out when I was working w some pre made loops where the playing was very good , but the sound was rather lack luster. I ran those through a buss w the full Suite and said to myself "I'm never gonna tell anybody about this one " then I had a change of heart …where would I be without all the help I've gotten from some of the exemplary powers of knowledge that frequent here ? oh we'll I have to pay back my debt to society and try my best to be more like some of them helpful fellas … Kenny
