Calkwalk Pro Overlapping Clips selection/editing problem

When clip A overlaps clip B in the same track, selecting clip A ALSO is selecting the covered (overlapped) portion of clip B making it impossible to drag or delete just clip A without doing the same thing to the overlapped portion of clip B!  How can I just select clip A without getting the overlapped portion of clip B too? HELP!

This is in the parent track with clips in different lanes? Shouldn't be a problem in any case. MIDI or Audio?

Can you not open the track's take lanes and do your dragging/deleting there? That's the new way of doing it now that clip layers are a thing of the past.
