Project Templates
I have just clicked on the 'Rock' template and it has created a project with 4 tracks in it. Vocals, Drums, Bass, Guitar. The Bass is assigned to a Cakewalk Sound Center bass instrument and I can play and hear this instrument. the Drums are assigned to cakewalk drums I presume (SI Drums). When i try to play them i cant hear them. Both bass and drums are output to 'Master' and input to 'omni'.
Any ideas?
Also if I click on a Midi template it brings up 16 midi tracks all assigned to TTS1. I presume i have to then load the TTS synth into the project for them to work?

SI Drums synth requires samples to be loaded into each kit piece.
Expand the track and double-click the track icon to bring up the SID GUI. I think you then right-click each kit piece to load samples.
If the MIDI tracks are already assigned to TTS-1, it should already be loaded. Check the Synth Rack.

Hi Greg - each piece of drum kit already seemed to have been assigned. They each had a tick against theor relevant drum sample. Still no sound though.

I have noticed the strings, bass and piano in Studio Instruments dont play either (although i can visibly watch them being played there is no sound).

how are you trying to "play" them?
