(For Jamming with my Boss RC-3 Looper) How do I play (tone) bass grooves in my looper?

For my practice (with BOSS Loop Station), I want to have bass groove going on in the looper so that I can jam in a realistic way. I want to have pedal that will generate the bass sound. Some octave pedal comes to mind and there are so many options out there. For my purpose, what pedal will work out the best. Thanks in advance. I am willing to pay upto $100 for a used pedal.

The Electro Harmonix POG range are pretty good. They track the guitar very well and don't sound too "digital".
