I have always liked this song...Your version is Sweet!  Nice guitar work...BAPU, I am impressed with your bass/midi work...I am a drummer and I don't even mind the midi drums (usually they KILL me).

The vocals have that ZZ growl too!

Very cool cover, guys! I had never heard this one before either. What was your guitar and signal chain for this?

Thanks Scotty, I used my PRS for the main rhythm and solo. I had a texmex pup in it at the time. I recorded the rhythm with my Johnson Millennium, SM7b into my P-solo. I used my reflection filter for the mic. I did a lot of experiments with the solo, I think the one that didn't get deleted was with my champ amp driven with an Ibanez tube king pedal. I added an additional rhythm track during the solo with my Tele using an amp sim., so I could pan them to open up the center a bit.

Thanks again Shawn.

Love it, Grant!!  Best "Ed Bass" tone I've heard for awhile.  Well, let me say it's my favorite bass tone.  You guys did a great job on this.  I look forward to your music, Grant!

Ha ha ha - what a kick-ass track this is. I never heard the original (and I won't go searching for it either) but this is so brilliant in its dirt, nastiness and grit. Everything about it screams bring me my whisky and get out of here before I have to do something we will all regret. Love it.
