ZZ cover Nasty Dogs, now fortified with vitamin B (remix 9 28)

Big thanks to Ed (Bapu) for the bass guitar, drums and mastering. Actually made the track to use the background for practice and live use. Great to have Bapu in the box on this one. Crits welcome.

Hey, Grant,

Wow, another excellent cover collab from you and Bapsi, with great Billy Gibbons vocals and dynamite guitar playing and tone!

Really nice job on the solo, Grant,  and Ed did a bang up job on the bass and production on this, too!

Very nice work, guys, keep 'em coming!

Thanks brother G for asking me to participate on this track.

Honestly, I'd never heard this song until you started this project.

Love me some ZZ!  I think I'm with Rik in saying it needs MOAR GIT.  Also, perhaps the drums need a smidge more verb.  Other than those nits, awesome sauce guys!

Big thanks Bob. Glad you enjoyed. Love that pic of your new PRS, sweet

Big thanks Bill, @ 2:05 yea, that is my favorite part of the song and what made me love this song to begin with and the part that always gets prolonged when the behinds aren't done wigging.

Big thanks Bapu, yea this one slipped under the radar for many years because my first recollection of ZZ was the Eliminator album. I stumbled on it and a few others I never heard about 15 years ago.

Big thanks Rikkie, I'm also seeing others thinking the guitar should come up a tad. I may re record a few parts just for live amp micing experience. Is it the rhythm or solo or both that you feel needs a bit more volume?

Thanks again brothers.

New mix
Sorry it takes me a while to get things done here. I Gave the drum midi some tlc and sent that to Ed. I added a rhythm track to try to balance the rhythm section out and lowered the volume on the solo a bit. I also deleted the vocal FX.

Thanks Walt, glad you enjoyed. Hopefully new mix corrects those issues for you. I'm not sure if the drums have more verb, I muted the verb busses on my end on the new mix to give Bapu more flexibility.

Thanks Andy. Yea I was a bit sad when I first heard it and wished it was longer.

Sorry for the delay. Remix is up. I doubled the guitar at the end to give it more body. Ed sent me his drum track so I added it to my drum and room buss.  Big thanks brothers, Rikkie, Bob, Bill, Ed, Walt, James, Daryl, Clint, James, Mark, Herb, Steve, Kenny, John and Phil. Sure hope I didn't miss anyone.

Brother Phil, appreciate the compliment but I assure you it is I that wishes he could play half as good as him. The Reverend is my favorite Blusier and Blues Rock guitarist mostly for his riffs and songwriting.

Hi,
I don't know the original ,but the guitar sound is great and the bass gives it a solid basement ,
Very nice tune , a little bit short but better this way so we can play it twice than too long ...
Cheers,

Big thanks Lawrence, Bob, Mark , Reece and Oliver. Really glad you enjoyed.
Also big thanks to Kenny, you posted some free synths a while back in one of the forums here, I couldn't find the thread to thank you for that.
Thanks to all that's helped me get this far. I've learned so much from so many here over the years. I'm eternally grateful.
