Event list view

In the "Event List View" I can't insert a MIDI event or edit its time position but however I can delete a note or edit its velocity. What could be happening?

    select one event (anything) and hit insert on your keyboard .. then you'll get another of the same type and can then modify that to whatever you need.     I use a variety of CAL programs to insert patch changes, pitch bends, and specific CC#s within any selected time range.
