Well I'm pretty bad at all this, so ya :D. Basically for a plugin to work well for me, it has to be pretty simple. Either good presets or simple mode of operation. If you have to be an expert to be able to tune it and make it work right to get great sound, I am not going to be able to do that.
 
This just works. Basically I do like you do: I flip on unity monitoring, find out where it starts to change the sound, back off from that, and engage it. That's all there is to it. Somehow, it increases the volume yet without any perceptual change to the dynamics or tone. Shouldn't be possible, but it does and does it well.

You don't have to use Gear Credits if you don't prefer to use them.  You have the option to use other payment methods in Custom Shop.
 
But yes, there's a field on the checkout page where you can enter JamPoints and it has a short explanation of how they can be used to defray up to 30% of the cost.

Last summers Summer Strummer sale had the credits for a better price than this years promo. the amount of Jam Points you can use has changed in the last year and a half or so too. These are convoluted price increases. A little hard to wrap your head around but they are price increases. It makes sense  to not have people buy the credits for low low prices and then come out with a new T-Racks or Amplitube.  

I have the T-RackS Classic bundle, those were the first plugins I bought after getting Sonar, and I grabbed the Bus Compressor when it was about 50% off.  I like all of those, they even have M/S, and that Bus Compressor is a favorite.
 
But, IK doesn't seem to offer deep discounts very often, and since I've already spent plenty acquiring plugins like Ozone 5 and the L3 just to name a few, the price would have to be righteous.
 
None of that keeps me from exploring the Deals and Software Forums though :)

With existing credits (a freebie) and my jam points towards a credits purchase of 100 (+20 bonus) I got this Stealth Limiter for like $80. Still have 35 credits left.

Nice video Zo! I use Ozone or Sonnox but people are saying this IK one put those in the shade.
