Is there any kind of piano these folks haven't sampled yet? Well, yeh. For one, there's the class of piano I have in my living room - the 6' baby grand. Well mine's actually 5'9" but I call it a six-footer so it doesn't feel inadequate.
Small Studio Grand from SampleTekk is a 6'1" grand piano. They don't say specifically which one, but it sounds a lot like mine, or at least what mine sounds like when it's in tune. Brighter than a full-size Steinway, deeper than an upright, kinda in the middle. I like it. Seems like it would be a good cut-through-the-mix pop piano.
Comes in Kontakt, sfz, Halion and EXS24 formats. 21 to 28 velocity layers (!), sympathetic resonance, adjustable pedal noise. $39.50 until September 20th.
This looks and sounds nice. Don't need more pianos but will pick this one up. I too have a 6' Baby Grand in my living room. Well more of a plant / kids pictures /curio stand. It was tuned once since I acquired it before a half dozen moves. I've got a Hammond C3 in storage because my wife couldn't see it as useful as a planter. God VSTi's are wonderful things.
