Sonar Pro problem sending Sys Ex portamento data

Hi
I have a very annoying problem with getting Sonar to play back My Tyros 5 Internal Synth sounds with portamento sweeps.
I record for example a two track short song on midi channel 1 and 2 Into my Tyros 5 sequencer.
I then go back to the beginning of the song and then save to USB stick
I then fire the song up In Sonar Pro and all Ins and outs plus bank and presets show.
I then press play and the portamento slides on my synth sound reverts to a poly sound instead of staying mono.
I contacted Yamaha to see If there Is a problem with the Tyros 5 not receiving the System Exclusive messages properly.
The support guy tried to replicate this for me ,but had no problem as he was using Cubase to replicate the problem.
He asked me to ask you--"Does Sonar send Auto Reset messages"  and "Does Sonar use any filters when Importing a midi file".

I recorded the song Into tyros 5 sequencer,put on usb and plug Into computer and then fire Sonar up.
I looked at the event list and the portamento messages are there ,but as song plays and goes past the message,no portamento.
Even the tyros shows the portamento messages , so the sequencer file from the Tyros is good.
I do not know what Is going on here as I have also made sure Sys ex is checked In sonar pro.

This is really an annoying thing that is happening and I would be very grateful anyone  could shed any light on this for me
