Wavesfactory Suspended Cymbals

When I got the email announcement, I wondered why the heck would I buy a separate library of just cymbals. Then I watched the video. These are cool.

I spend a lot of time programming cymbals, because it's the part of a drum sequence that to my ear always sounds most artificial. Mostly from lack of variation that a real drummer would put in. Every crash sounds the same and rides are monotonous. What this library brings to the table are new articulations, the most exciting being cymbal rolls that are controlled via the mod wheel. I think I can justify $11 just for that feature alone.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

I might buy it for the soft mallets rolls for orchestra.  Most of them in percussion libraries don't sounds as good as these.

I said "No More Drums" (at least for a while) but cymbals are not drums! This one looks good and very useful so I am getting it.
