You didn't see a similar question asked?

This is probably THE MOST ASKED question. Why there is no FAQ is beyond me. I wish I had $1 for everytime I've had to answer this.
You cannot export a MIDI file. MIDI is not audio. It is instructions that tell a MIDI instrument what to play and when. It is much like a piano roll in a player piano.
You must first convert the MIDI tracks to audio tracks. How you do this depends on what MIDI instrument you are using. If oyu are using an external synthesizer, then you must record the output of the synthesizer onto an audio track while playing back the MIDI track. If you are using a softsynth, such as, the Edirol VSC, then you need to click on Edit-Bounce to Tracks.
Once you're converted all of the MIDI tracks to audio tracks, select the tracks (using CTRL and the mouse pointer), and then do the File-Export to a Riff WAV file. If you want to export to an MP3 file, you need an MP3 encoder since the Cakewalk encoder is only a trial that runs out in 30 days. Search the web for cwenc for the free encoder that works with Cakewalk.
