Roland A-800 PRO/Focusrite Scarlett 18i8 MIDI issue...

I just picked up a Roland A-800 PRO keyboard controller - my second keyboard controller purchase - and I have it connected to my Focusrite Scarlett 18i8 audio interface via a MIDI cable.

When I made the connection I noticed the MIDI LED indicator at the front of the audio interface, started blinking non-stop without any input.

Any one with an A-PRO keyboard or Scarlett inteface (or both) has any knowledge about this issue?

Windows 7 Ultimate x64, ASUS Z77 Motherboard, Intel Core i7 3770, 16GB 1600Mhz DDR3 RAM
SONAR X3e Producer, Focusrite Scarlett 18i8, Wharfedale Diamond Pro 8.1, M-Audio Axiom Pro 49
