Can I top up existing Sonar subscription?
If I have 5 months left can I purchase an addition 12 months making it 17 months?
Can I then purchase another 12 months making it 29 months?
How do I dothis at the store or via third party?

Hi Alex,
Simple answer is that you can't.
If you purchase 12 months the timeline goes from the date of purchase to 12 months in the future. At the end of those 12 months you can repeat if desired.
If you're paying month to month, the simple solution would be just to keep the payments active.

Understood. Follow-up question. I am on the initial 12-month monthly Platinum subscription. At the end of those 12 months, can I convert to the annual maintenance subscription, or am I stuck paying monthly for the remainder of my functional terrestrial existence?

At the end of 12 months you can pay nothing and continue to use what you have or sign up for a payment plan and continue to receive updates. You can renew your existing plan or switch plans, it is up to you.

OK so am I allowed to buy another full license of Platinum and then register it when my subscription times out? Without having to reinstall? Thx. (Understand that after 12 months I get to keep the existing license).

Just to be clear, in this context your license of SONAR is already "registered". Registering is a bit of a different thing. If you buy direct from the Cakewalk Store, the 12 months will start the moment the transaction is approved. If you buy from another retailer, however, they will give you a Redemption Code which can be used at http://www.cakewalk.com/redeem . The 12 months doesn't start until you redeem the code on OUR website, not the moment you buy from the third-party. I hope that helps.

So if one wants to pre-purchase a renewal from the third party in advance (say, because it's on sale), can one buy the same thing he bought before?
So if I upgraded from X3 to Platinum, can I just buy another upgrade from X3 and get another 12 months? And if not, what's the SKU I'd need to buy?
